The Story of My Peaceful Paws
I started Skillful Paws LLC in 2007 and I am a Certified
Aromatherapist Level 1, and a Certified Large and Small animal
massage and acupressure practitioner based in Austin, TX.
Over the past 12 years, I have worked with a multitude of dogs
in Central Texas. Fear and anxiety can take the toll on the entire
family, not just the dog. These emotions are keeping the dogs
from living the life their owners want them to have and the life
they so deserve. If you have ever had a dog with separation
anxiety, you know what I am referring to.
My Peaceful Paws was originally made for a friend's Labrador that
had severe fear of thunder. He would pace non-stop and then
end up in the bathtub with the shower curtain pulled for hours.
The blend made him settle within 10 minutes and sleep through
the Texas storms. My Peaceful Paws has also proven to be very
effective for supporting dogs dealing with fear of fireworks, stressful
vet visits, boarding, grooming visits, social anxiety, and more.
My agility, and show clients use it to take the performance nerves down a nudge and help the dog focus, and they too are
seeing great results.
One group of dogs that are very special to me, are the abused and neglected dogs that I see through my massage business. My Peaceful Paws is always a part of the solution when getting them back on track. It can be a powerful remedy when helping a dog regain trust while settling into a new home. My Peaceful Paws has helped several shelter dogs struggling with severe shelter stress.
Aging dogs struggling with the anxiousness that sometimes comes with getting older, and cognitive disorders, benefit too. Sometimes that is all the dog needs to be less anxious. My Peaceful Paws supports the body in feeling calm.
